The Development of Humanity in Imago Dei Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2500 words

The Development of Humanity in Imago Dei - Essay ExampleHuman-Kinds knowledge of God or the theorization of Imago Dei ultimately brought ab out(p) the concept of military manity, as was hinted at in the initial phase of this research (Meta Press 2006). When God created man kind, following Imago Dei, humanity was undoubtedly born but man-kinds ability to progress to onto that form of humanity has been sorely tested throughout history.Furthermore, this ideology of humanity was conceptualized by the fact that human beings are the more vulnerable of Gods knowledgeabilitys and therefore there is a need to try and be humane to one another due to this fact. Also, there is a view that human beings are considered to be the offbeat and fate of nature so this is another philosophical reasoning that was born through the concept of Imago Dei and of which stretched into the philosophy of humanity (Fern 2002). This makes perfect sense as the received meaning of Imago Dei is actually an interp retation of a mirror paradigm of God. In fact, the terminology in itself is uniquely meant for the human race, as history has shown through scriptural times up to present day even. The way in which humanity did actually form has been already stated to be from man-kinds religious perspective and their creation but there is a direct relation to this theory from a passage in the bible which states, God created man in his own image (Meta Press 2006). It was of course this pertinent passage which had an incredible influence on man-kinds interpretation of what goodness and humanity should be and they oftened turned to God to guide them and assistance them in making the right choice to stay on the correct path. Because man-kind developed the rationalization that they were created in Gods image they realized that all that they had been endowed with had a form of goodness and humanity about it. For example their freedoms of self-centeredness, creative freedom, and the option of self-actuali zation led them to come to an understanding that having good qualities within their being and expressing a true sense of humanity to one another was important in order to stay in Gods image (Meta Press 2006). However, human beings can not be equal to God because they are not wholly perfect, although they try to overcome those tendencies that bring in the adverse elements into the human race which affects the idea of humanity (Fern 2002). Karl Barth was an existentialist who believed that humanity developed by man-kinds way of trying to exhibit an idea of goodness in order to be one with God. However, the human race already had an idea of humanity due to the fact that they were created through the theology of Imago Dei. This has been emphasized in this literature and found to hold factual truth throughout periods of history. Furthermore, this is pointed out because Barth taught that man-kind developed a responsibility towards God, again through the ideology of Imago Dei. Also, the freedoms born for man were directly from the idea that God granted them these various freedoms due to the human goodness that they exhibited (Cochrane 1956).However, when man sinned they lost some of the ability to be good due to the fact that the concept of religious belief and the essence of God does not contain the idea of sin, and therefore it was and is an

Haute couture, which continues to be regulated in France, often sets the design guidelines for a particular season. Major couture houses, including Christian Lacroix, use their haute couture not only for its own sake, but also to promote ready-to-wear designs, as well. In addition, many major design houses today sell multiple brands and also multiple product lines, so that a haute couture show may also be a showcase for perfume and accessories. (Waddell 21). Competitors of Haute Culture include major retailers like the Gap, which sells clothes worldwide, and Avicsar, CatWalk Enterprises, and First Impressions. in all of these companies are European based and First Impressions is situated in London. All of these companies are showing the same trendsa decrease in sales applicable to the decrease in economical status. Th erefore, heading into 2012, all companies are going to need to consider new ways of selling, and the Internet could certainly open up many avenues for them. Out of the companies listed above, Gap is currently most prevalent on the Internet, and this may be the reason they are performing better than the other companies, although economic issues have hurt them. The fashion industry is a global industry (Movius n.p.). Textiles may be produced in a country such as Thailand and transported to a low-cost labor market such as China to manufacture designs that were created in Europe or the United States for sale in retailers around the world. This globalization works to keep costs low on the manufacturing side, which increases the normal profit. However, not all of the companies listed above work in this global context, Gap again cosmos the only one listed that does. The use of outsourcing may be a consideration for these other companies in order to increase sales. At the same time, the va rious fashion collections and their shows can increase demand for a particular designers goods. As designers become better-known, customers may be willing to pay more in order to have the distinction of owning a piece by that particular designer. In this way, the price of high fashion can be driven up not by value-added, but by customer valuation of a particular brand. While some might argue that this does, indeed, constitute value-added from a marketing standpoint in the sense that branding adds value, others would suggest that this is an artificial component that does not have intrinsic economic

State and Society in 20th Century China Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2000 words

State and Society in 20th Century chinaware - Essay ExampleThe consumer-centric trading model has also helped China bring down the change magnitude currency exchange rates, which had caused great uproars in international financial domains, particularly during the recent economic recessions. It may be note that the Chinese society espoused consumerism with regard to currency exchange rates, amendments in property ownership acts, and de-institutionalisation of political authority over various prefectures. It is quite logical to put up that such a shift in socio-economic spheres has not been an easy ride. The erstwhile communist austerity gave way to broader perspectives in all walks of life in China. approximately notably, the emerging middle-class segment of the country has been able to find jobs in private sectors, but at the cost of invoke-owned jobs. This downsizing in state firms has inexplicit connection with the drooping economic conditions around the world. Aggressive Parents, Aggressive Children Essay Example for Free

Aggressive P bents, Aggressive Children EssayGrowing up, kids hold a lot of influences in their life from television to peers kidskinren will always absorb something. With this be said the biggest influence on a child would have to be the people there with the most- their family. Because this is unarguably true, it would and then be fair to then anticipate that parental/ sibling enmity could have a big impact on future relationships caused by development. What is incursion unrivalled whitethorn ask? onslaught is a hostile, injurious, destructive behaviour or outlook especially when caused by frustration. Human development would be everything that happened from the moment a child thinks for the first time, then. Sigmund Freud was unmatchable psychologist who theorizes that those who have experienced trauma from aggression in the home will often use defense mechanisms to disregard unwanted emotions. This leaves a blackball motion on the unconscious mind and makes a pers on act irrationally. By comparing cultures and examining how nature vs. urture, the theme of pies and how the ecological theory all come into cope with when dealing with the way children treat relationships, it is hoped that one will see that aggression in the home will indeed lead to negative relationships for the childs near future. One key question many would ask and not for only this topic (but many on the mind in general), would be are these actions and thoughts merely influenced by parents, or are they born with the defect and therefore forced to live with it. The argument of nature vs. nurture is a question that has disjointed even the most renowned of psychologists. Both sides have strong supporting arguments therefore coming up with an end answer would be impossible for one to do. In Daenas article, entitled Is Aggressive Behaviour Biologically or Environmentally Based? Daena proposes that aggression is learned. Supporting herself by linking aggression with Skinners rat, continuing by saying aggression is caused by positive reinforcement (reward). By calming a kid down with a toy, the child would have received the reward, now the child understands if he does this, then another reward should come. One way this could be seen in a household could be when a father cusses afterward he hurts himself. The child could subconsciously perceive that the pain and expression on the father going away shortly after was his reward, therefore the child takes on the habit. This does put some weight on the nurture side because the reward is what causes any outcome. But, Professor Richard Tremblay of the University of Montreal says that We do not use up to learn to aggress, but to not aggress. In this indirect argument with the other article mentioned Tremblay suggests that children are aggressive by nature and learn how to control their aggression at around 4 years old. When linking nature or nurture to aggression one must understand that they really cant contain an option and be satisfied with their decision. PIES stands for the four kinds of development physical, intellectual, emotional, social. When children witness aggression at home almost every kind of development are interrupted. corporeal development includes growth of bone muscles, motor skills and senses.Intellectual development includes the maturation of mental process, such as learning, imagination, memory and perception. When a child is used to comprehend aggression exhibited by their parents, they will associate that violence will many things they see on a daily basis. For example the first time the child sees adults mating on television, etc. Their first instinct would usually be to believe that the couple is in reality fighting. This shows that what they sense would be different from whats actually happening therefore proving a negative outcome.Emotional development includes the maturation and evolution of emotions, social skills, individualism, and morals. If a child grows up witnessing spousal abuse from an beforehand(predicate) age, and isnt explained that its bad, then would that child not believe that this action is perfectly fine? Seeing the father only do this when hes angry, the child could perceive that beating somebody is an output of anger for them as well. Social development includes the evolution of knowledge of how people interact, play, share, take turns, or gibber socially. From an early stage if the child sees fighting, it is then safe to assume that their evolution of knowledge based on how people interact will be evolving mangle of the witnessed negative action seen in the first place (spousal abuse, swearing parents, etc. ). A childs development could be positive or negative based solely on the overall milieu the child is living in. One may be lead to believe that aggression is taught by others, and then mirrored by the children whom the aggression will eventually attach itself too. Urie Bronfenbrenners Ecological Theory argues that development is influenced by five environmental systems. The theory identifies five environmental systems. The five environmental systems are Microsystem, Mesosystem, Exosystem, Macrosystem, and Chronosystem. The microsystem is the childs immediate surroundings i. e. family, neighborhood and friends. This theory suggests that if the child lives in a damaged microsystem, the childs development could also be damaged. The mesosystem is the connection seen between immediate environments i. e. parents to peers. This directly relates to the topic showing that if a child witnesss abuse, theres a good chance they will mirror it with their peers. Children need people in order to become human. It is primarily through observing, playing, and working with others both ripened and younger than he that a child discovers both what he can do and who he can become. -Urie Bronfenbrenner (quotes. dictionary. com). This quote can be fitted to the topic of aggression in children because she basicall y explains that without other humans, we would have no route for our personality/identity to take. The Macrosystem describes the culture of the child, anywhere from physical geographic, to wealth in the childs area.Urie suggests that those that are living in lower class are more likely to commit crime. It must also be understood that children influenced by their environment is not conclusive. As children in some African regions see violence every day but learned to adapt with it as opposed to retentivity it bottled up in their head. The final system is the Chronosystem. This monitors patterns of environmental events over time. Non-normative events may have a negative psychological effect, e. g. a recent divorce or death in the family. The change is too drastic for the child to cope with. With witnessed aggression, as it starts to become the normal in the childs life, the child may seek to emulate it later on when the normal aggression is missing. Urie Bronfenbenners theory does weig h in favor of the child learning the aggression because it all seems to truss into the child feeling a sense of normal. Based on the theory, children will emulate what they see, because if they didnt emulate anything, they would have no guidance in their life. Their identity would be 100% their own. Therefore if aggression is their guide, aggression will be what children emulate.

Globalization Interconnectedness Past and Present Essay Example for Free

Globalization Interconnectedness Past and Present EssayWe can go even a further back and argue that world(a)ization, in the logic of a growth in interconnectedness amidst members of different states, is itself only a special case of something more universal. In medieval europium most people for most-of the time stayed close to where they were born. They inspired mainly local goods and, primarily, produced either for themselves or for a precise local market (Schlossberg H. 1992). Economies were mainly local. cover over considerable distances took place on water either by sea or river, which accounts for the inconsistent number of towns and villages which were either by the sea or on rivers. Human beings seem to have had a steady urge to detach themselves from the area as much as the technology of the day permitted (J venerable 1992). Certainly in that location have always been big movements, sometimes of populations looking for better circumstances and of conquerors buildin g empires. Under the Roman Empire, large parts of atomic number 63 were globalizing in this sense and the degree of globalization declined with the Empires retreat. The medieval Church could be seen as several form of globalizing force scarce the degrees of fundamental interaction and interdependence were much reduced in the so-called Dark Ages (Thurow L 1996).Communications are also of significance in considering the nationalization of different states. As communications enhanced (which before electronic communication meant, in fact, how fast people could travel), states had much more practical unity. This was mostly true of large states much(prenominal) as Canada and the United States where the railroad meant that people could travel between the major population centers, and numerous of the minor population centers, within two or tether days as opposed to weeks. Markets then became national as an instant precursor to becoming international. These changes can all be measured par ts of the very(prenominal) process (Herman E and McChesney R 1997). On this view, globalization is a trend which has been going on for centuries, which is undeniably continuing and index be accelerating. In this sense, the position period is not in itself novel. However, Scholte (1997) argues that there is more to globalization than this. For him globalization is not practiced communication on a global scale but deterritorialisation or superterritorialisation of numerous activities which formerly were tied to some terrain, not as a matter of an accident but as a matter of necessity. Thus, there is efficiently a global stock market. There are twenty-four hours trading in the world as a complete and traders in, say the capital of Japan markets keep a close eye on the London market on a real-time basis. There are differences. Tokyo is not just a postal (or e-mail) address of any implication but these differences are minor compared with the similarities or with the distinctions that existed even thirty years ago. It would most probably be possible to place all the worlds stock markets in a single place say on a South Sea island and it would make very little difference. It would perhaps make even less difference if this were to be done in twenty years time. (It might be a development. The traders might be so tempted by the sun and the good life that they would spend less time trading. Thus, trade less anxiously, and calm the often totally unneeded fluctuations in the various financial markets. ) On the other hand, certainly, all the traders could work from home. This is the point. The actual geographical location is trivial (Weiner E. 1992). Basically, Globalization is typically held to be inner(a) to globalizing processes usually with the economic put up as the motor of globalization. This heaves questions not simply about the capability of the nation state to govern and the stand up of national companies and economic interests but as nearly concerning what a nd who comprises civil society. As suggested by Robertson, the coexistence of nation state and civil society is busted by globalization. This offers the commencement for an increase in the power of the market, but as well opens up diverse possibilities for globalize forms of sociality and practices, for what some term globalization from below (Robertson, R. 1992).Here, the connection between state and citizenship might be loosened with people playing a vigorous role in more global networks to address issues of communal concern. national governments become simply a partial focus is still influential for certain(prenominal) forms of popular involvement, as established by such groups as Greenpeace and definite humanitarian groups. Globalization consequently offers possibilities as well as intimidation to the extend of capitalist relations. On the one hand, for example, there is the feminization of labor whereglobal assembly lines are manned by women workers in free trade zones subco ntracted industrial home working is performed at kitchen tables by women who have time on their hands home-based teleworking is carried out by women who cant afford day-care costs and are grateful to have paid work (Manicom and Walters 199772). However, practices as well expand that convey together groups pretentious by economic reformation in new ways, such as trade unions support labor and corporation projects exterior their own national base. Likewise, information and communication technologies (ICTs) can be utilized by contradictory groupings.Affinity groups of senior or retired citizens, feminist scholars, individuals who cope knowledge on health afflictions, hobbyists, professionals, political organizations and many others areusing the Internet to educate, proselytise and organize, cutting across national boundaries with apparent ease. (Goodenow 1996200) As notions of globalization both from below as well as from above help to reframe some of the varied potential within glob alization, they as well present a explicit spatial association that seems to be set within specific binaries of above-below, power-resistance and domination liberation. In other words, this is an idea of globalization already included within specific politics, rather than, a reframing of the political and definitely a resistance to it. Conclusion Thus, to compete effectively, business organizations should develop a technology strategy. Moreover, as the imagination of the globalization significantly extends this concept to government not least by giving it an influential institutional framework, but does not significantly alter its function. The global economy does, though, stand in a different relation to the government since it is no longer neutral. It is still presented as apolitical, and is consequently still understood to be economic, but it has also become a normative and, certainly, normalizing, reality. The global economy functions in a different way with go out to the govern ment whilst movements in the world economy have long inclined economic policy within the government, the global economy presented as some new realism forces changes in national policy as a complete. This has the further significance, of forcing the government to distinguish between its proper function with regard to the global future and its function with regard to a sub-national, local past.Through the formation of the competition government, the homogeneity of the national economy though assumed in theory is cooperating in practice. The national secluded economy ceases to be believable as a homogenous unity and becomes a single but distinguished space. This has, certainly, always been the case, but the mobility of capital and the decomposition of the labor-intensive fordist production systems in the North has grinded the differences between regions of the similar government.

Mr. Bush is the murderer of nearly one hundred thousand innocent citizens of Afghanistan and Iraq while trying to fight against only two persons Usama lay in Laden and Saddam Hussein on one side and thousands of precious lives of our beloved soldiers and the soldiers of collision countries.
